  • Students continue to work on Geography Theme I: Location
  • We are answering the question "Where is it?"
  • Today we study Latitude and Longitude
  • Play Introduction to Latitude and Longitude Video Clip
  • Read p.1-2 in Latitude/Longitude Packet as a class to introduce concepts of latitude and longitude.
  • Students should label key concepts on the world diagrams (p.1-2). Key concepts include: Parallels, Equator, North/South Poles, Prime Meridian, Meridians, International Date Line
  • Have students buddy up with a parent to complete the activities on p.1-2 of the Latitude and Longitude Packet.
  • Students should continue working on p. 3 of the packet once they finish.


Thursday:
  • Hand out: Latitute/ Longitude Packet
  • Students continue to work on Geography Theme I: Location
  • We are answering the question "Where is it?"
